Google Algo Change?
Ive been visiting and reading threads in other forums and many people are mentioning that they have noticed considerable changes in ranking over the last 7 days.

Some very experienced posters in SEO Chat have confirmed this and their opinion is that the Algo has certainly been tweaked.

I cant say i've noticed any changes, i just wondered if anyone else has?

RE: Google Algo Change?
I haven't noticed anything, but wouldn't it take extensive monitoring to notice these changes?

RE: Google Algo Change?
I saw numerous comments which is not unusual.....but 3-4 of what i would term "Players" have provided confirmation they have noticed major changes, not something i would generally dispute.

No changes at my end, however i do run only 3-4 sites of which 3 rarely change rank at any time.

RE: Google Algo Change?
I think that was the solution to a common problem when the site becomes popular and more often at the top of the results, although most responses were negative and spam.

Not sure what you mean, but I believe as the article reads, the toolbar was most effected.

RE: Google Algo Change?
That's pretty interesting. I wonder how often they change it...

They change it when it suits them and certainly not when it suits the webmasters.

At one stage the TB was updated every 3 months or so but now, it seems that it can be a year. Im sure it was almost a year before the last update, if i remember right??

TB Page Rank is only of interest to anyone selling links. I personally would prefer higher serps to higher PR.

RE: Google Algo Change?
ive seen them change to the whole when you type a word , listings appear and there was a rumor they are focusing recently on whos site was the original content owner, being as so many sites are syndicating now days. they want to shove the ones who are copying to the bottom of the pile and give the one who had it first credibility and authority but i dont know how that will work. Time stamps? Wordpress you can change that so that wouldnt work Smile

RE: Google Algo Change?
Syndication and auto posting has some great points, but it sure has significant downsides......what with content being stolen and incorrect attribution to authors. The Google Algo must be able to identify who the original author was and i would think G Techs are working on this.
