RE: Best way to start a forum
Hello Mini.

Im new also but i wanted to say that i agree with you, content is King. I operate a darts forum but it took a long time to get it going and in fact, thats why i am here today. I followed a link and hey presto, here i am so i registered.

It looks very quiet but i see that the Mods appear to be trying to get it going, so its certainly a place i will come back to. Forums are great for generating backlinks and discussing different techniques for SEO. I try and spend at least 2 hrs per week browsing forums, learning different things and generating traffic via my signatures.

This place will pick up just fine.

RE: Best way to start a forum
Also when creating a forum, remember not to overdo it with forums. Only make necessary forums, and don't let a forum sit empty. I know some webmasters who create multiple accounts and have conversations between them, simulating a active forum, that appeals to new visitors.

Activity is the key but i also think that if the content is good, if the site is promoted well and all other aspects of marketing are covered, then the visitors will come. It takes time....its a long haul and speaking from personal experience, I have allocated a time span of 12 months for this forum to be as active as i hope it to be Smile
